These two spectacular specimens of the Japanese Bitter Orange, Citrus trifoliata (formerly Poncirus trifoliata), were taken in February in Turin (or Torino).
A few remaining fruit can still be seen.
The plants have clearly been regularly trimmed to produce this extremely dense growth.
