PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC

I visited Prague for a few days in late October 2010. Quite by chance, I came across a fruiting specimen of the Japanese Bitter Orange within a few hundred metres of the famous Charles Bridge. It was located in the courtyard garden of 'The Church of Our Lady beneath the Chain', also known as the 'Maltese Church' because of its association wth the order of the Knights of St. John. I think it is a bird nesting 'box' hanging from the branches!
ALSO IN PRAGUE
In the south-facing terraced gardens below Prague's Hradcany Castle, we came across a few potted lemons. On display during the summer months, these had been put away into a small conservatory.
In October 2021, David Martin sent me his photos of the same tree taken from the same positions. You can see how much it has grown in the eleven years between pictures.
